The NI Ettus USRP X410 is a high-performance, multi-channel software-defined radio. Designed for a frequency range of 1 MHz to 7.2 GHz and adjustable up to 8 GHz, SDR uses a two-stage superheterodyne architecture with four separate TX and RX channels, each with an instantaneous bandwidth of 400 MHz. Use the software of your choice
The NI Ettus USRP X410 fully supports the popular open source USRP Hardware Driver (UHD) version 4.1 or later [2]. UHD 4.1 is designed to support the big data mobility requirements that come with 400 MHz bandwidth and on-board multiple channels. The USRP X410 supports open source SDR design flows such as C/C++ and GNU Radio, as well as LabVIEW FPgas [1]. Unlike other RFsoc-based systems, the USRP X410 is fully portable to your previous UHD design, requiring only a simple recompilation to take full advantage of high performance features.
Networked/independent operation
Because the USRP X410 is built on a ZU28DR RF System on Chip (RFSoC) device, it is equipped with a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processing subsystem with up to 1.2 GHz for standalone application requirements. In addition, the RFSoC includes a dual-core ARM Cortex-R5 real-time processing unit for onboard monitoring and control.
Built-in IP
The on-board RFSoC on the USRP X410 contains more than twice as many FPGA programmable logic resources as the previous generation X-Series USRP devices. In addition, the ZU28DR is equipped with eight soft-decision forward error correction (SD-FEC) hard IP cores, which are ideal for wireless communication systems. Given the high-speed nature of RFSoC's built-in ADCs and Dacs, Zynq devices feature eight digital up-conversion and digital down-conversion IP cores for fast in-band re-tuning or signal attenuation.
Multiple radio synchronization
The built-in GPSDO (GPS calibrated oscillator) or 10 MHz reference and 1 PPS (pulse per second) input signal interface enables multi-radio clock and timing synchronization operation. Multi-radio phase alignment and phase coherence operations are not supported because the USRP X410 does not support RF chain LO import and export functions.
