UNIROL1010 3BHE035301R0001 The PLC communication is interrupted intermittently
Normally, UNIROL1010 3BHE035301R0001 will publish a communication error if your communication times out or you get unsolicited traffic on the connection. The latter usually comes in the form of an echo, indicating a poor contact somewhere or a crossed line.
This can also happen if you retry the data request and the previous response eventually arrives. This will ignore the re-request and may cause a communication error. This has to do with communication timeouts.
A communication timeout means that you are not waiting long enough for your device to respond. This may be caused by improper grounding of the panel. Check that all your equipment and panels are grounded. The voltage grounded to the neutral line should be around 5vAC. This problem may occur if the voltage exceeds 10 volts AC. I think that might be the problem.
We are currently working on the MK5 panel upgrade, UNIROL1010 3BHE035301R0001 replacement of all cards, cables and prom chips. After successfully doing this and powering up, we achieved A7 status on all processors.
The next morning, we returned to find the C processor LCC displaying a status of "Rom-Main 3 failed".
We've been following a process of elimination, putting old and new chips back in different combinations to see if we can narrow down the problem. So far, we have focused on the chips U11, U12, U22 and U23 on SDCC cards. Our latest check is to reinstall all the new chips on different SDCC cards. But since we don't know how often this failure mode will occur, we can only guess. It would be a real help if someone could tell us to focus our investigation more precisely and which chips or cards the state failure refers to. When "Failed Rom-Main 3" is displayed, the keyboard cannot be used to try to get more information. So hopefully someone will tell us to go straight to 1. LCC and chip U6, U7 2. SDCC and chips U11, U12, U22 and U23 or 3. TCCA card and chip U8, U9
