Featuring a Motorola 68040 CPU, it delivers real-time processing for semiconductor manufacturing tools (e.g., etch, CVD). This module includes DRAM memory, SCSI interfaces, and VMEbus connectivity, operating within AMAT’s V452 chassis. Designed for harsh fab environments, it executes tool control, I/O management, and communications. Now obsolete, it remains critical for maintaining older AMAT platforms, with compatibility limited to legacy Synergy OS software.
